With the Decora Evolve Primary Switch Base, builders can give homeowners the power to customize light switches using a variety of interchangeable modules. Once the base unit is installed by builders, homeowners can conveniently change modules in seconds – without special tools or technical know-how.
- MULTI-WAY - Used to control the load for lights managed by more than one switch.
- FAMILIAR - Install using industry-standard wiring, electrical boxes, and face plates.
- MODULAR - Removal of the bottom blank module allows placement of a Night Light, USB-A/USB-C® Charger, Dimmer, Occupancy Sensor, Smart Switch or Smart Dimmer Module.
- CONSUMER-FRIENDLY - Homeowners can add and change modules themselves without having to turn off the power.
Should be paired with the Decora Evolve Companion Switch Base for the additional switches that do not control the load.

- How can I differentiate between the switches?
- They will be labeled at the bottom just above the lower mounting screw and can also be identified after they’ve been installed by removing the module and referencing the symbol on the inside

- Both the bases and modules are marked with symbols to help customers identify what works where. If a module and base share the same symbol they will be compatible; if they don’t then they are not.

- What wall boxes should I use to install these?
- Decora Evolve bases were designed to fit in 18 cu in new construction plastic wallboxes but we recommend using 22 cu in wallboxes to make installation a breeze!
