A Proactive Partnership: The 2025 NECA Show

Leviton’s expansive presence at the recent NECA Show in Chicago embodies the company’s commitment to supporting its contractor (and distributor) partners in all ways

On September 12th- 15th, 2025, over 400 exhibitors and 10,000 attendees converged on McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago for the 2025 National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Show – one of the electrical contracting industry’s most prominent annual forums for the latest on new products, industry trends, and training/education.  As a premier partner to NECA, Leviton was among the key manufacturers exhibiting at the show and this year sported a brand-new booth, a bevy of exciting new products designed to support contractors’ needs, and an extensive team of sales, marketing, technical, and executive leaders on hand to answer questions, instruct educational sessions, and demonstrate Leviton’s long-standing commitment to the contractor community.

Promoting its “More with Leviton” theme, Leviton’s new 30 X 30-foot booth was built around the “Residential,” “Commercial,” “Industrial,” and “Business Solutions” pillars and also featured a “Contractor Support” pillar complete with access to Leviton’s Captain Code resources and the ability to register for the company’s dedicated “My Leviton Pro” Program, Contractor Connect newsletter, and more.

A Range of Contractor Touchpoints
Unveiled at the NECA Show for the first time, “Leviton’s new booth design enabled better functionality and was staffed by all of the appropriate product and technical experts to ensure our ability to answer any questions and show the commitment we’ve made to contractors,” shared Steve Doty, Leviton’s Senior Manager of Contractor Marketing.  “Products such as our new residential and industrial Lever Edge wiring devices, EV charging stations, and Green Connect wireless lighting control solutions were of particular interest to contractor attendees and helped demonstrate the breadth of Leviton’s portfolio, especially within the rapidly growing data center segment and wireless connectivity arena.”

“Contractors were amazed to see how much our Lever Edge innovations speed up the wiring process, lock firmly into place, and keep wires secure and tight - all within a housing that looks and feels comfortable and familiar to them,” added Doty, who noted that Leviton’s Green Connect products also went over well with contractors, who are increasingly seeking wireless, motion-controlled, and touchless solutions for their customers, especially since the pandemic.   “Contractors also liked the ease and comprehensiveness of Leviton’s business and Whole Home residential solutions, which enable clean and simple installations, and which work together in a cohesive ecosystem that can be controlled right from a phone or other electronic device.”

According to Doty, Leviton’s investment in the electrical contracting community extended beyond just its trade show booth to other educational and in-person forums during and outside of the NECA Show.

In addition to leading three informational sessions -- on the topics of “Converged Building Technologies,” “Structured Cabling Installation and “Submetering Pro Installation” -- during the show’s conference track, “we also hosted NECA attendees at our 7,000-square-foot ‘Leviton Live Experience Center’ in downtown Chicago,” Doty said.  One of three Leviton Live showrooms established nationwide (along with the other two in Lake Nona, FL and Nashville, TN), “these spaces allow us to display and demonstrate our portfolio of products in their native environments, such as in a kitchen, living room, office space, data center racks, and more, and they also offer classroom areas designed for training and education,” he said.  “Our Leviton Live facilities allow for more in-depth conversations and demos, and during NECA we had our Innovation Task Force onsite to exchange ideas with contractors, hear their issues, and discuss how Leviton can best partner with them.  We want contractors and distributors alike to see that they can learn more, sell more, and do more with Leviton.”

Investing in the Contractor Community

“Trade shows like NECA enable the impactful, face-to-face discussions that build solid, mutually beneficial, long-term relationships,” confirmed Steve Anson, Senior Director of Brand, Digital & Customer Marketing at Leviton.  “And our company’s ’More with Leviton’ campaign truly embodies who we are – a company dedicated to working collaboratively with contractors, training them on our products, industry trends, product and efficiency codes, and more, and helping to positively impact their sales, profitability, and growth.”

Randy Mortensen, Leviton’s Executive Vice President of Global Distribution Sales and Marketing, agreed.

“Leviton is committed to being there for contractors in every way – from delivering the utmost in high quality, safe, and reliable products to offering proactive sustainability initiatives, hands-on project support from our Contractor Business Development Team, and targeted training and certification programs through our in-person, online, and Leviton Live Experience Centers,” Mortensen said.  “We take pride in investing in contractors and helping to keep them on the leading edge of technology, safety, speed, and efficiency.”

“Leviton isn’t a manufacturer that simply hands products over to contractors and steps away -- we want to talk through contractors’ pain points and address them,” confirmed Doty, who noted that distributors can similarly trust in Leviton’s long-standing commitment to contractors.  “We look forward to continuing these partnerships and positioning contractors for success by helping them identify, address, and ultimately solve their project and industry-related challenges.”
