The letters CO/ALR are stamped directly on the switch strap, near the rating. The acronym “CO/ALR” is a term that means the device is suitable for use with aluminum wiring.
THESE ARE THE ONLY SWITCHES THAT MAY BE USED WITH ALUMINUM WIRING. If you have aluminum wiring installed, ONLY a CO/ALR switch can be used.
