Do Decora Smart Matter Devices work with Orbi Wi-Fi Networks?

Yes. Decora Smart Matter devices do work with Orbi Wi-Fi networks, but the configuration of the Orbi must be modified.

Matter requires IPv6. By default, Orbi routers have IPv6 disabled. Please follow the instructions below to enable IPv6 on your Orbi router, and then attempt to add your devices to the Matter hub/controller.

  • Launch an Internet browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to the Orbi network.
  • Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
    A login screen displays.
  • Enter the router Username and password.
    The Username is admin. The default password is password. The Username and password are case-sensitive.
    The BASIC Home screen displays.

  • Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > IPv6.
    The IPv6 screen displays.
Orbi
  • In the Internet Connection Type list, select Auto Config.
  • Click the Apply button.

Once the settings have been applied and the router restarts, factory reset one of the Decora Smart devices by pressing and holding the top of the rocker/button for 14 seconds (hold until the LED begins to flash, alternating between amber and red) and then release. Wait for the LED to begin flashing green and then add to the Matter hub/controller using the Matter QR Paring code for the device found under Device Settings in the My Leviton app.
