Leviton's High Current 60A Controller is the answer - a UL3141 certified power control solution designed to allow an electric vehicle charger or other high current appliance to be added to a home with undersized service.

The High Current Controller detects when the home's total current consumption is too high and temporarily shuts off the EV charger or other high-current applicance, only restoring power once usage returns to safe levels. You have the option to connect to Wi-Fi to monitor the status, load energy usage, or receive notifications when consumption is high or returned to normal.
