ADVENTUM™ Cable

Indoor Outdoor Applications with ADVENTUM cable

Available globally.

ADVENTUM™ Enterprise cables are ideal for campus or in-building backbone installations, where people safety in the event of emergency is crucial. Enterprise fiber cables are extensively used in data centers and commercial environments to support high-bandwidth applications, including internet access, cloud computing, and large-scale data transfers.

These cables offer several key advantages:

  • Higher bandwidth: Capable of transmitting large amounts of data at high speeds.
  • Longer distances: Can carry signals over greater distances without significant loss of quality.
  • Immunity to electromagnetic interference.

ADVENTUM™ Enterprise LSZH B2ca or plenum sheathing offers the highest performing indoor cable with regards to fire safety. The innovative dry water-blocked cable cores, UV-rated sheathing, and operational temperatures down to -40°C also make these cables suitable for outdoor use. Both Central Dry Tube (CDT) and Multi Dry Tube (MDT) products are available globally, with or without armor.

ADVENTUM Cable - Enterprise
Central Dry Tube | CDT

Central Dry Tube cables are designed for lower density applications, featuring fibers housed within a compact central tube. This central tube is equipped with water-swellable yarns to prevent water ingress along its length. High tensile yarns also grant extra strength and rodent protection.

For enhanced mechanical durability, additional armoring options are available: ARMOR-TEK in North America; and Corrugated Steel Tape Armour in EMEA

Multi-Dry Tube | MDT

Multi Dry Tube cables are engineered for high-density applications, featuring fibers contained within multiple dry, water-blocked tubes. This interstitially dry water-blocked design ensures water ingress prevention throughout the individual tubes and the entire cable length. High tensile yarns also offer added strength and rodent protection.

For superior mechanical durability, additional armoring options are available: ARMOR-TEK in North America; and Corrugated Steel Tape Armour in EMEA.

Available in Armor and Non-Armored options for both Central Dry and Multi Dry Tube.

Armored

Leviton has masterfully transformed flat aluminum into a sleek, curved profile, creating a robust interlock. The ARMOR-TEK™ Interlock Armored Cable stands strong against a myriad of potential threats, from abrasive damage during installation to compressive load damage, and even the gnawing of rodents and pests. Plus, thanks to the enhanced grip between each wrap of the aluminum ‘S’ curve around the core, ARMOR-TEK cable can flex into a tighter bend radius with ease.

ARMOR-TEK Interlock Armored Cable provides the following additional benefits:

  • Minimizes the risk of surpassing the minimum bend radius during both installation and long-term placement.
  • Enables more robust J-hook installations by minimizing core cable bending across the J-hook, preventing deformation of internal fiber components.
  • Eliminates the need for innerduct, conduit, or cable tray, significantly reducing material and labor costs. Plus, interlock armor allows for quick rerouting of cables if moves, adds, or changes are necessary.

LTR and LTRZ are available with aluminum interlocking armor or corrugated steel tape armor; LTP and LTP-HE are available with aluminum interlocking armor only.

Non-Armored

  • Non-Armored cables are lighter, making them easier to handle and install.
  • All-dielectric cables do not require grounding because they are made from non-conductive materials.

Armored

ADVENTUM™ CDT products are available with corrugated steel tape armor, which has been skillfully designed to offer enhanced mechanical properties. The integrated metallic shield within the cable makes it suitable for direct-burial applications, or any applications where the cable may be subject to mechanical crush and impact.

Advantages of Corrugated Steel Tape Armor:

  • Versatile use throughout an installation for indoor/outdoor campus applications, eliminating the need for changeover points and external ducts
  • Provides extra protection against accidental or intentional cable damage, including rodent damage
  • Shields against compressive loads that can be exerted by large bundles on internal cable components

Non-Armored

  • Non-Armored cables are lighter, making them easier to handle and install.
  • All-dielectric cables do not require grounding because they are made from non-conductive materials
