Technical Project Coordinator - Pointe-Claire, QC

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Technical Project Coordinator is responsible for reviewing the Bill of Materials and managing drawing requests to ensure efficiency and adherence to deadlines for lighting control projects. He or she also supports the development of technical skills and facilitates collaboration between teams for the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) with the support of Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) and contractors.  
  • Support the Technical Sales Specialist, our agents, and our internal employees to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).  
  • Organize and track drawing requests, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate channel.  
  • Participate in training initiatives for the development of employees internally, both in terms of products and the understanding of the lists of materials required for different types of projects. 
  • Act as a liaison between the Technical Sales Project Specialist, Field Service Technicians (FST), and other teams, including the American team, to ensure project requirements are met.  
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support.  
  • Perform remote troubleshooting.  
  • Create relevant documentation and solutions.  
  • Assist technicians and/or technical sales specialists as needed during the pre-commissioning of the lighting control systems with the contractors.  
  • Assist the Field Service Technician (FST) on-site when needed (occasionally). 

Education and Experience

  • Degree or certificate in a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone fluent in English to communicate with contacts across Canada and with colleagues in the United States. 
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and documentation would be an asset. 
  • Basic knowledge of Auto-CAD and design principles would be an asset.
