My device says ‘Fault’ and has a red exclamation point next to it. What should I do?

Your Smart GFCI Outlet has tripped; try pressing the Reset button.  Your device should reset, and the indicator LED should be solid green.  Your Smart GFCI Outlet is now providing power and protection is active. If your Smart GFCI Outlet continues to trip, this is an indication of an electrical hazard, please contact a licensed electrician.
