- Visibility: “B-A” port identifiers simplify fiber mating of duplex connectors, per TIA standards.
- Safety: Spring-loaded shutters open and close with insertion or removal of fiber optic connectors, and glows when a visual fault locator (VFL) is connected to the other end of link. This protects contractors from eye damage during installation and network maintenance.
