Our CN2030 Action Categories
The CN2030 program includes five sustainable action categories, identified below, as areas where we can have the greatest impact at the intersection of our business and society.
Sustainability Strategy and Achievements
Through innovation and commitment, we have reduced GHG compared to our 2021 baseline year, and we have made progress in our other sustainable action categories. Our comprehensive approach aligns with the UNs global sustainability development goals (SDG) and fosters positive environmental and community impacts. Leviton Network Solutions Business Unit Achieves Carbon Neutrality (May 2023)
Leviton’s Network Solutions Business Unit announced on May 14, 2024 that it has achieved Carbon Neutrality in 2023. This achievement is inclusive of Scope 1, Scope 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions. Leviton employed a three-step process of measure, reduce, and offset to attain Carbon Neutrality. Leviton Network Solutions has reduced its carbon emissions by 55% since the baseline year of 2021 mainly through investment, including the transition to clean energy providers who power some of our largest manufacturing facilities to investing in on-site solar power at our Glenrothes, Scotland facility. Lastly, and because it is not possible to eliminate all carbon emissions currently, Leviton Network Solutions invested in clean energy-focused carbon offset projects offered through reputable companies in regions where we operate.
Leviton’s Tualatin, OR Facility Achieves Carbon Neutrality (2023)
Leviton’s Lighting & Controls Business Unit announced on June 5, 2024 that its Tualatin, OR facility achieved Carbon Neutrality in 2023. This accomplishment highlights Leviton's firm commitment to fighting climate change and promoting environmental sustainability. Since 2001, the Oregon facility has been dedicated to engineering and manufacturing energy-efficient commercial lighting controls and submetering solutions that contribute to reducing the company’s environmental impact and empowering its customers to be more sustainable. Employing the measure, reduce, and balance model, Leviton’s location in Tualatin, OR was able to achieve a reduction of 267 TCO2e since the baseline year of 2021. Lastly, and because it is not possible to eliminate all carbon emissions currently, Leviton Tualatin, OR invested in a solar renewable energy carbon offset project offered through a reputable company offered in a region where we operate.

Carbon Reduction & Energy Efficiency
GLENROTHES, UK, FACILITY IMPLEMENTS SOLAR ENERGY
We installed 1,874 panels at cost of $800,000 that generates 750kWh of electricity. Our Glenrothes Scotland facility has been Carbon Neutral since 2011, first in our industry (in Europe).
Innovation
SMART TECHNOLOGY: DIMMERS AND CONTROLS
In just the last five years, our residential dimmers have helped save 52 billion watts of energy per year, equating to a reduction of 44 million pounds of CO2e per year.
Reduce Job Waste
PACKAGING
Our Sustainably Smart packs are an environmentally sound alternative to individually packaged jacks, eliminating more than 2 million single-use polybags on job sites every year.
Maximize Recycling
ORDER CONSOLIDATION IN THE U.S.
By consolidating our customers shipments, we successfully reduced 8 metric tons of CO2e output per year.
Water Stewardship
NEW HOLLAND FACILITY SAVES 1.2 MILLION GALLONS OF WATER FROM CONTAMINATION
In our New Holland, Pennsylvania facility, our wastewater management system prevented 1.2 million gallons (4.4 million liters) of potentially contaminated water from entering Pennsylvania’s streams and rivers.
