Territory Manager Saskatchewan

About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Territory Manager is tasked with proactively advancing sales initiatives, executing strategic marketing plans, and attaining sales targets. This role underscores a results-oriented approach aligned with the organization's sales strategy goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to develop an annual sales and marketing plan for customer and product for approval; implement it within approved time and budget constraints.
  • Achieve sales targets in alignment with the objectives outlined in the sales strategy.
  • Establish and enforce general sales policies regarding credit administration, pricing, terms and conditions of sale, etc.
  • Coordinate training programs for direct customers, electrical wholesalers, and end users as needed.
  • Execute communications and marketing support activities; actively participate in showrooms.
  • Gather competitive information and communicate findings to the supervisor.
  • Create a time and territory management plan to maximize face-to-face sales time within approved travel and regional spending guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor on structuring price reductions and promotions for the assigned territory.
  • Manage and maintain accurate project information in the SaMPS system; actively participate in monthly and quarterly Sales Meetings.
  • Optimize the scope and quality of Leviton's presence in the territory through effective public relations at all levels.
  • Conduct specific analyses or special projects as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities, and drive sales growth.
  • Skill in developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage and nurture customer relationships effectively.
  • Strong ability to negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, influence stakeholders, and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated initiative in seeking out and capitalizing on sales opportunities, anticipating challenges, and proposing solutions.
  • Capacity to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to inform strategic decision- making.
  • Efficient organizational and time-management skills to optimize face-to-face sales interactions and meet targets within set guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, providing insights, feedback, and support to achieve collective goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs, and organizational priorities.

Education and Experience

  • College diploma or a diploma of professional studies in sales.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong sales skills and knowledge of the electrical industry and distributors.
