Account Manager Retail

About the Role

Reporting to the Business Development Director - Retail, the Account Manager, Retail will play a crucial role in supporting the retail sales team in various aspects of project coordination & management, sales support and customer relationship. Acting as a vital bridge between retail customers, sales agencies, and other Leviton departments, this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent communications abilities. The incumbent will facilitate effective communication and contribute to building strong relationships with strategic retail partners.

Responsibilities

Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stake holders to coordinate retail projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and on time.
  • Support the execution of retail projects, including planning, monitoring progress and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and update customer pricing contracts & customer special orders in collaboration with the Sales Director & VP Retail. Ensure proper Sku attribution is added to customer contracts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with customers regarding pricing, product information (UPC codes, part # change, MOQ qty) & terms, and conditions.
  • Act as a bridge between retail customers, sales agencies and other Leviton departments.
  • Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Process requests for product samples, & planograms for trade shows.
  • Coordinate sample distribution and arrange for new product samples as needed.
  • Participate in key account customer and sales agency presentations.
  • Maintain & Update department project trackers & calendars to ensure all deadlines & key actions are recorded and communicated effectively.
  • Validate & Analyze Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs).
  • Ensure the proper documents are filled out and provided to the QA department to address field complaints related to non-conforming products promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director & product managers to fill out “Sell Sheets” and products Information required for new product launches.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Accurately fill out new account opening forms (PCAD).
  • Process changes to existing accounts and communicate relevant information to accounting, customer experience, and retail sales teams.
  • Ensure complete and updated customer information for accurate order processing by the customer experience team.
  • Advise & support the Business Development Director - Retail on special orders processing.
  • Request credit notes for customers with pricing errors and follow up with accounting for timely resolution.

Administrative Tasks Continued:

  • Provide copies of credit notes to customers and agents to close the process.
  • Communicate short shipments (back orders) to customer replenishers based on their requirements.
  • Provide fill-rate and order lead-time information to customers and other Leviton departments as required.
  • Validate the monthly scorecard for all retail customers, gather all relevant information to submit disputes for compliance with THD and other VIP customers as required.

Success factors 

  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management and/or retail sales management 
  • Communication skills in both French and English.
  • Experience in Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems, an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Retail industry, an asset.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel proficiency
  • Results-oriented, organized & focused on producing high quality work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills & interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to take initiative and recognize needs while working independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
