Pricing Analyst

About the role 

Reporting to the Pricing Manager, this role is an integral part of the Pricing department, providing support to the internal quotes team, the Canadian Sales team, and both local and US management groups. The Pricing department is accountable to the Finance team both locally and in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Oracle price lists, including CPL updates, 46N, and mass system loads.
  • Maintain and update price floors to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Serve as the first level approver for quotes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain S&D tiers, ensure lot billing compliance, and manage other housekeeping tasks.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Territory Managers and the Pricing department to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
  • Participate in the New Products Introduction process as the primary contact for Pricing, ensuring accurate pricing strategies for new products.
  • Track and analyze quote outcomes (won/lost) to identify trends and improve future pricing strategies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual pricing processes to increase efficiency.
  • Resolve issues related to missing product prices and ensure accurate pricing setup.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to assess and optimize profit margins.
  • Ability to understand and navigate the quote and pricing system framework to support Pricing objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Charts, PowerPoint), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and Power BI.
  • Comfortable communicating with managers and leadership colleagues, both locally and in the USA.
  • Adept at resolving issues, problems, and challenges in a timely manner.

  • Strong skills in interpersonal relations and reasoning to identify and implement solutions.
  • Good judgment and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in English is required for communication with contacts across Canada and colleagues in the United States.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a pricing or financial analysis role.
