Leviton Supports the Expansion of a Major Biotech Company

The Challenge

Our client, a Columbian biotechnology company dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of vaccines, needed a partner to provide infrastructure for a major expansion. The company’s goal was to build five new facilities, with the potential for more in the future.

The client wanted to partner with a brand known for its innovation, and needed a cabling infrastructure with a lifetime warranty.

  • The client needed an improved infrastructure, but was aware this may require changes to the current specifications. The company also had future growth in mind and wanted to replicate its new infrastructure in other projects.
  • On-time delivery was a priority for the client, and it needed a partner who would be able to manage logistics accurately for this fast-paced project.

 

The Solution

To meet the client’s needs and establish a replicable foundation for future projects, we used our Cat 6A copper cable with ATLAS-X1™ connectivity and OM3 fiber cable with the SDX Patching Platform.

 

We worked closely with distributors to navigate order logistics, ensuring timely, agile deliveries at several stages of the project.

Our consultants also provided comprehensive technical support, making the process as seamless as possible for our client.

Across the client’s five facilities, we deployed 850 nodes and 4000 meters of OM3 fiber cable with field connectors.

The Impact

At the project’s close, our client had accomplished its goal of outfitting five new facilities with copper and fiber connectivity that met their warranty requirements, and had a replicable foundation in place to leverage in future projects. Going forward, the client has expansion plans in other regions and aims to use the infrastructural blueprint set here for other facilities. The client left the project impressed with both the quality of Leviton product and the seamlessness of our service; an introduction to the brand that brought about an ongoing, productive partnership.
