In the event of a power outage, the VPT24 Decora® 24-Hour Programmable Timer is equipped with a battery* backup so that the date and time settings will remain as indicated below:
- The date and time will be maintained for up to 3 days (72 hours)
- The programmable options and schedules are stored until factory reset.
* Battery life may vary depending on a variety of variables including the age of the device and how often it is woken up during an outage. As with cell phones and other electronics, the battery capacity in the VPT24 timer may decrease over time.
