The Anywhere Companion is a quick and easy product to pair to a Decora Smart® Wi-Fi 2nd Gen product.  If you are having an issue, please review the following:

• Are you pairing to a Decora Smart® Wi-Fi 2nd Gen product?  The part number must start with 'D2'  (D26HD, D215S, D215P, or D23LP).
• Are you within 50 feet?  Since the device is portable, try again within 5 feet to eliminate distance as the issue.  Reinstall and test once successfully paired.
• Are you close to metal?  Metal junction boxes or faceplates can reduce transmission distances.
• Are you transmitting though multiple walls, masonry, floors?  Solid materials can reduce transmission distances.
• Are you transmitting through an exterior surface? External surfaces may have foil backed insulation, grounded wire mesh, rebar or Ultraviolet coatings which can reduce transmission distances.
• Have you removed the protective insulator from BOTH batteries?
