Note before you begin: If you already have Decora Smart devices added to Apple Home via HomeKit, updating to Matter will remove your Decora Smart Wi-Fi device’s current connection to Apple HomeKit. After the update is complete, your device will need to be re-added to the Apple Home app using the Matter pairing code. Adding a Decora Smart Matter Device to Apple Home

Important Note:

Enrollment in Leviton’s Matter Early Access Program requires a My Leviton account. If you do not have a My Leviton account, please create one before proceeding. You can create an account using the following link: https://my.leviton.com/home/registration/sign-up

This article assumes your Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen device is already connected to the My Leviton app.  To connect your device, please follow the article: Add a 2nd Gen Wi-Fi Decora Smart® Wi-Fi Device to the My Leviton App

1. Put the Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen device into pairing mode, by pressing and holding the top of the rocker/button for 7 seconds (until the LED turns amber). When the LED turns amber, release the rocker/button, and wait for the LED to begin flashing green.
2. Open the My Leviton app and select the device from the device list.
3. Tap Device Settings.
4. Tap Matter Pairing Code.

6. Open the Photos app on your iOS device and select the photo of the QR Pairing code.

7. Press and hold the center of the QR code in the photo momentarily, until Open in Home appears.

8. Press Open in Home.

9. When the prompt appears to add the device, select Add to "Apple Home" and follow the prompts to add the device.
